About
I'm a designer.
Star Wars and Lego were early influences. I grew up in northern California and central New Jersey and went to Syracuse University where I drew, painted and sculpted. During that time I worked as a book repairer, architectural model maker, natural foods co-op buyer, copy shop drone, medical school librarian, ice cream scooper, bicycle and boot salesman, bartender, sandwich maker, hotel front desk guy, day-care counselor, art teacher and underwear model.
One day in college I was introduced to Charles and Ray Eames and had the sudden realization that being a designer was the life I wanted. Design was the way to describe everything I was interested in, which was everything. So for the last 20 years I've been designing cars, stores, hotels, medical devices, shoes, drinks, diapers, toothpaste, air purifiers, bags, jackets, refrigerators, websites and umbrellas.
I live in California.
